This treatment requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your our office. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?
BOTOX® can act a "facial filler" by targeting muscles responsible for wrinkle frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. We will inject these muscles with BOTOX® to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice your wrinkle lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines temporarily look better.
BOTOX vs. DYSPORT
Botox and Dysport, sometimes called "Dysport Botox", both contain the same active ingredient (Botulinum toxin) and can reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
The biggest difference is the level of concentration in each product. Dysport is more diluted than Botox, with an almost 3 to 1 split. The Dysport price per unit is cheaper than Botox. Since the number of units will be higher than Botox, the price per treatment will not vary greatly.
Dysport also differs in its molecular behavior and diffusion. This makeup means it spreads faster, especially over a larger surface area, with just a few injections.
Botox usually works well for lip lines, crow’s feet, and other fine wrinkles. It has a high concentration and is slow-moving, making it perfect for these small areas.
Dysport will work well for larger surface areas like the forehead and 11 lines. It’s fast-acting, spreading quickly and evenly.
Because of the difference in dilution, you can safely use both for a similar price.
