Pre-Procedural Considerations

  • No alcohol, or caffeinated products 24 hours before treatment and no aspirin, or blood thinning medications five days prior.

  • Make up should be removed and the skin thoroughly cleansed before the procedure.

  • For optimal results, the skin that will be treated should not be irritated.

  • Pain preparation: Though the sensation of microblading is minimal, clients respond differently. Some will feel stronger sensations than others. Overall procedures require minimal pain preparation. Many clients have taken over-the-counter Tylenol, or Motrin 30-minutes before the treatment. This will not interfere with the procedure. Any physician prescribed pain relieving medication, should be taken as directed. Please advise us of any medications taken.

  • It is best to remove all unwanted hair around the brow area. Please thread, tweeze or wax 2-3 days before the treatment, not the day of treatment.

  • Electrolysis or Laser treatment should be completed 5 to 6 days before your procedure.

  • Procedure

The specialist will first draw your eyebrows by hand using a measuring tool, making sure your brows are symmetrical. Remember your brows are “sisters” not “twins”. Strand by strand, we will personalize your brow, taking into the account your facial structure, your existing shape and your preference. After, we will consult with you, making sure you are satisfied with the shape and the form of your eyebrows. Once we decide on the design, we will apply color on the skin, and help you chose the right color.

After, topical numbing cream is applied. Numbing cream takes approximately 10 - 20 minutes to take effect. Then, the specialist will use a sterile microblading pen and delicately scratch the “hair” strand-by-strand. Dye is applied into the epidermis layer of the skin embedding the pigment. The entire time of the treatment is approximately two hours.

    After Care

After the procedure you will be given "After Care" instructions. The “After Care” instructions are as important as the initial treatment. During this period the primary objective is to allow the bonding process to be completely sealed inside the dermis.

After the procedure, or the next 3 to 7 days, the outer layer of color will appear crusty and start to flake off. Please make sure not to pick or scratch the treated area, or attempt to remove the crust material. Removing of the crusts may result in the the removal of the actual pigment and an infection may occur. It is important that this protective cover stays on during the healing process. As the outer layer flakes off, you will notice that the color gets lighter and softer and the brows may appear to be slightly thinner than the original day of your procedure. For the following two weeks, color that was implanted under the skin will move forward. After three weeks the healing process should be complete.

    Healing process

There is no downtime, however the brow will take about 10-14 days to fully heal. The brow may appear darker after the treatment, but will lighten 30-40% during the healing period. Please follow the "After Care" instructions and schedule an appointment for a Final Touch-up session within 3-6 weeks.

    Final Touch-up Session

Microblading is a two-step process. It consists of an initial treatment and a follow-up Final Touch-up session. A Final Touch-up session is necessary to set shape and color. We will build on the color that has been lost and/or absorbed by your skin. We will also fill in the gaps and shape your brow, perfecting it further more. The Final Touch-up session is the same as the original treatment, only slightly shorter.
